1965 Shelby Cobra CSX 4000 Roadster

Vehicle Details

Produced by Shelby American, Inc., this CSX 4000 is part of Shelby's continuation series and was originally sold to Nostalgia Motorcars in South Carolina. Installed under the hood is an all-aluminum Shelby 498ci FE big-bore big-block V8 engine with an 8-stack Borla throttle body atop an Edelbrock FE Performer Series aluminum cylinder head. This power plant is coupled with a Ford Toploader 4-speed transmission.

The exterior is painted in Ferrari Red with dual white LeMans racing stripes on Shelby's high-strength fiberglass body and strong 4" tubular frame. The car features 4-wheel independent suspension with dual A-arms, coilover shocks, rack & pinion steering, and Jet-Hot ceramic-coated headers and side pipes. Inside the 15" Halibrand-style pin-drive wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich radial T/A tires lie Baer brakes with Shelby-inscribed calipers. This Cobra also features a FAST self-tuning fuel injection system. The included hand-held controller is used to change the tuning and make adjustments. The dash is laid with new authentic Smith instrumentation, including an upgraded odometer.
